Chinese Tofu Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 15 ml sesame seeds
  • 300 grams tofu, cubed
  • 15 ml sesame oil
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 red pepper, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • 15 ml cornflour
  • 30 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 20 ml soy sauce
  • 125 ml water

Method
 

  1. Press the sesame seeds onto the tofu cubes. Brown the cubes in the sesame oil.
  2. Remove the tofu and set aside. Saute the onions and peppers in the the same saucepan until soft.
  3. Stir in the cornflour, then add balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and water to make sauce, stirring constantly.
  4. Bring to the boil, add tofu, heat through and serve.
